The Studio Block · Chubbuck Scene Study · Hackney Central

Small. Intensive. Personal.

A real process from start to finish — no more procrastinating.

Most London classes put 15, 20+ actors in a room, all working the same material. I know — I paid for them. Years ago I spent £200 on a weekend workshop and got fifteen minutes on the floor. So I built the class I couldn't find.

"You will do this all the time, all three hours. You will be completely included in this process."

Aneta Bohun

Maximum six actors. Your scene, chosen for you. One full hour on the floor, every session.

Dates and times are on the booking page.

What you get

£195. Everything that buys.

Four weeks on a character chosen specifically for you — a way of working you can repeat for yourself. Blocks roll every month, so the work compounds instead of resetting. That's how Tom trained — his year is below.

Four 3-hour sessions

Twelve hours of live training across four weeks.

One full hour on the floor per scene

"I've gone to so many classes where you run a scene twice that's like one page. Here we're on the floor for an hour at least — and that's with a four, five page scene."Tom Panto

Your scene, chosen for you

Because we're all as individual as our fingerprints. Your scene targets your weaknesses — so class time turns them into strengths. Picked specifically for you after your welcome call, sent one week before class. You walk in ready.

Your Emotional Score

Instead of a page covered in random scribbles, you leave with an emotional score: exactly what your plan of attack is, written into the text.

A welcome call with me

Thirty minutes before your first session: your training, your career, your goals. Private time with me, included in every booking.

Homework that actually helps

After every class you get a homework email: exactly what to work on and how. Stuck between classes? Email me. I answer. Expect around six hours of homework a fortnight — only the serious need apply.

"You're always open. You're always approachable. You answer my emails very quickly."Noah Santana — six-week intensive

A community, not a queue

Family time after class. Theatre trips together. Scene partners who become your readers for life.

"Rich created a very safe environment for everyone and everyone was very supportive."Michael Zgatni

What you'll feel

Your internal gauge.

You'll feel the difference before you can explain it. I'm developing your internal gauge — so you know when you're connected, you know when you're off, and you can tweak it for yourself.

In class you always have an audience. You'll feel people watching at the start — then you'll be so connected you won't. When you know you can act, because you keep killing it in class, you won't freeze in auditions. You'll deliver.

Actors from major feature films have come to me stuck in commercials for years. Others lost their agency in lockdown and never got moving again. I'm an expert at creating solutions — there's a way around everything.

Who is this for?

Class is open to all. Most actors who find me are already working — and you'll likely share the floor with someone further ahead in the technique than you. Five years of teaching has proven that speeds your growth considerably. I've worked with beginners, actors returning after raising children, and people entering the business after a first career. If you're ready to work hard, I can help you change the game.

Can I do this online?

The 1-2-1 work is all on Zoom, wherever you are in the world. Group classes are in-person in London — and the online group class waitlist is now open. Join it here →

I've tried other classes and they didn't help. Why is this different?

Most classes give you inspiration. This gives you a process. There's a difference between feeling good after class and knowing exactly what to do when you're alone with a script at midnight before an audition.

What's the commitment?

Book the block and commit to all four sessions — the same professionalism you'd bring to an audition: on time, prepared, ready to do your best work. Transfers are possible when both actors can move to the same class. Full terms at booking.

Are classes recorded?

No. We work in a personal way, so no recording is permitted.

Age policy?

21 and over.

Tape due?

Class timing not right? There's a faster option.

One hour with me on Zoom puts the process straight onto your exact material. £75. You'll leave knowing precisely what to do before you record.
