Your coach
I originally trained in Movement Psychology and Character Analysis — the system developed by Yat Malmgren and Christopher Fettes, founders of Drama Centre London — and I trained directly under Christopher.
I got my first agent out of my showcase and worked as a professional actor for almost ten years. After graduating I enjoyed some reasonable successes, but I found myself increasingly always pencilled and never booked. Something wasn’t working, so I had to try and fix it.

In the room
Ivana
I’d always wanted to train with Ivana Chubbuck. As a bit of a Brad Pitt fanboy I’d had her book for years — and when I finally got to train with her, the difference in my work was immediate. After my first few months with the technique I booked five jobs back to back and spent almost half a year shooting across Spain, Switzerland and Italy.
After training full-time for a year as an actor with Ivana, she invited me into her teacher-training programme to share her technique here in London. I became accredited in 2021, and I’m a member of her masterclass.
Why I built the studio
In 2021 I founded Step 12 Studio to create the kind of training I had always been looking for myself: small, intensive classes where every actor gets real time on the floor, while developing a clear, repeatable process for auditions, performance and their career.
Step 12 — “let it go” — is arguably the hardest step to take. All classes are geared towards getting you ready to take all twelve steps for yourself.
I teach every class myself. No rotating faculty, no different tutor each term, no conflicting information. It’s me, in a room of six, with my eyes on your work.
